Choosing a remodeling company to remodel you kitchen, bath, or your entire home should not be taken lightly. I'd like to share a few tips and standard guidelines that should absolutely be taken in to consideration when choosing a kitchen, bath, or home remodeler.
The first step you should take is to verify whether or not the remodeling contractor has a valid license to perform the aspects of your remodel. Make sure that it is not expired and not a fake.
The second step is to check to make sure they are insured. The Remodeler should be able to provide you with a copy of the company general liability insurance which will insure your remodeling project if something were to go wrong.
The third step is to ask to see a portfolio of recent work that the remodeler has done. At this point you also need to be asking the kitchen and bath remodeler what their process is for picking out materials like tile, cabinets, lights, faucets... and whether or not they will provide a design of your future remodeling project so you can get an idea of what it will look like.
Once you have narrowed down your selection make sure to be provided a proper contract and make sure to READ it and make sure you understand and agree to all the terms in the remodelers contract before signing.
I hope this helps and if you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you in this process how ever we can.
